The script is your speech in word form. Therefore, the words on the script file are expected to be the same as the speech in your audio file for the Preliminary Round.
It will also be used as a reference for the Final Round and cannot be changed so please write your script carefully during the Preliminary Round.
There are three ways you can find your “Order Number.”
1. It will appear soon after you make your payment.
2. Check your e-mail from ‘GLEC Viet Nam’ soon after your transaction.
3. You can check it on our homepage’s ‘My Account’ page.
You can apply for a refund through a Refund Application(Jotform).
The refund request deadlines are the following.
Preliminary Round refund request deadline: Jan. 25, 2020
Final Round refund request deadline: Feb. 17, 2020
Please keep in mind that participants cannot request a refund after the above registration dates are over.
Since the Preliminary Round is online, participants do not have to be in Vietnam.
However, the Final Round will be held at Hanoi (ThangLong University) and Ho Chi Minh (Ton Duc Thang University) so participants must be present.
In summary, you can participate as long as you can come to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh on Feb. 22 or Feb. 23, 2020 for the Final Round.
All nationalities are welcome to join GLEC Vietnam.
Participants can on the website on www.gleader.vn and must keep their order number as it will be used to distinguish participants.
Please note that only VISA and MASTERCARD cards are available.
The Essay Contest is similar to the TOEFL iBT (Internet Based Test) Writing Section.
After participants sit in front of a computer, they will have to enter their number and name.
Then they will choose their grade level and will be given their respective topic questions.
Keep in mind that the essay will be automatically submitted after the time is over.
Participants will need to memorize the script submitted in the Preliminary Round and present in front of judges.
The speech must be identical to the script submitted in the Preliminary Round and participants must abide by the time limit.
Please keep in mind that only students may enter the Examination Room, so parents or advisers must wait outside.
All electronic devices, such as phones, electronic dictionaries, MP3s, watches, are not allowed in the Final Round examination room. Participants caught with an electronic device in the examination room will be disqualified.
You must bring your Admission Ticket and an ID card (ex. Identification Card, Student ID, Passport) when you come to the Final Round.
